Jacob and Brandon both play "up" in baseball. They have summer birthdays and are supposed to be a certain age by April, but they want to play with their classmates so we let them play up.

Jacob's first game in the minor league and he pitched. I was not as nervous as I should have been. His first time EVER pitching to real batters. He did great. Struck out a few, walked a lot, caught pop flys. After pitching 2 innings he moved to catcher. I don't know why, but I get way more nervous when my kids play catcher. He also had a great hit that unfortunately was caught, but he got on base another up by walking and scored for the team. I had to leave a few minutes early with the score tied. Apparently Jacob's team won by some no time to finish the inning rule.
Ah, so good to be back at the ball park. If the weather warms up and my nerves can take it, it will be a great season.
